On Sunday, I decided to check out a sidewalk sale one of the local thrift stores was having. I had never been there, and am always interested in seeing second hand stores- thrift or antique. I really wasn't planning on buying anything, but our coffee table has been loosening at the joints and is beyond repair so I keep that in mind whenever I am shopping. Sometimes you just find the right piece at the perfect price. I couldn't believe it when I walked into the half price room to find a solid brass Persian serving tray table. I fell in love with these things a decade ago, and have wanted one ever since, but I have never seen one in person. The full price was already $100 less than what I saw a designer paying at a flea market a couple weeks ago on her blog. It was half off of that price, and then I talked the seller down a little more. This is a perfect replacement for the old coffee table, so I guess it was meant to be!
