My favorite part of decorating is creating little vignettes on flat surfaces. I've been working on my bedrooom and I wanted to share some pictures. This first dresser had some really bad water damage on the top, and I used Howard's Restore A Finish- it worked great! I'm trying to stretch my budget, so the only things that I bought were the candles (with coupons), the glass candle holder on the left (at a thrift store), and some more glass marbles to hold up the skinny candles. Everything else I already had. This tea set is 100 years old and belonged to my husband's grandmother. I also polished the handles on the dresser- you can see the top drawer polished, and what they used to look like in the last photo. Not bad for around $40.
Pic 3 is my new jewelry chest in it's new home. Now I am working on another dresser.
