Hello, ladies! I haven't been by in a while as I've just returned from a week-long trip back home. Some of you might remember that my granny was very ill, and I'm sad to say that she died on the 12th of this month. My sister and I flew home the very next day (we had already bought tickets at that point, because Granny had been in a coma for days and her doctors were saying it was only a matter of time).
It was a tough week for everyone (funeral lovely, but very sad), but I got to see all my cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as my other Grandma (she came up for the funeral, as the two of them were very fond of each other) and some of my close friends. I wrote a little bit about my Granny here, if anyone is interested.
In an effort to make this mildly fashion-related, here's what I wore when I was home! To the visitation: CM microchecks, black V-neck sweater, oxford booties and pearls.
To the funeral: Black/white striped turtleneck from CM tucked into black pencil skirt, black statement belt (borrowed from Mum), big pearl earrings and oxford booties.
I also had a chance to go to my favourite hairdresser when back home, so at least my hair is looking good!
