OT Heart breaking day in Alabama

Our state has suffered great lose of lives and property. My family is OK but have not been able to contact allot of friends due to communication problems. I have never seen such devastation in my life. Please remember those touch by this tragedy and keep them in you prayers.

Reneeb, as a native Huntsvillian, it pains me to see this. My heart goes out to you and those in Alabama. Looking at the photos reminds me of when I lived there through the storms on 1971/1972 as a young girl. Yet I know that we are resilient, resourceful and strong! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I have been following this on another site I visit. It all started with a thread that said "My town is gone". So devastating and sad and scary.
Hope you hear form your people soon Renee!!! Glad you are safe!

I have some family in that area--they moved there a few months ago. (Dad teaches at U of A.) The place they were living was not in the path, but I'm not sure if they have moved into their house. Waiting to hear--no answers from email yet. And my Internet is acting squirrely. The scenes of destruction are horrifying.
