All of you were so thoughtful and kind to have asked about my grandmother after my unexpected trip to go see her a few weeks ago. About 3 days ago, after living a very full life of 95 years, she passed away. As far as anyone could tell, she wasn't in any kind of pain and only struggled in the last few minutes. I guess that is all we could ask for - for her to go away peacefully. Since we have been expecting this, I thought I was mentally prepared. But one never really can be prepared for such things, I think. My biggest concern was for my mother, but she has stayed strong.

I haven't been posting but the forum, the site and my work have been such welcome distractions. Thank you so much for all your support when I talked about my grandma earlier.
