Background: http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....rad-school

A couple of years ago I started a program to get a master's degree in marriage and family therapy (MFT), and at the beginning of last semester I dropped out because there had been faculty changes that sucked all the fun out of it, and I decided I'd rather spend the $1,000 per unit on clothes and vacations and other fun stuff like re-doing my son's room into the Woman Cave. LOL

I haven't regretted the decision, but I have felt a little bit at loose ends, especially since my son left for the Marines. I wasn't wanting to go back to the old program, but I was wishing there were some other way to jump back into my studies.

Well... last night I went to a graduation party with the girls I started the program with, and one of the adjunct professors told me about an online-only MFT program that sounds like it's totally right up my alley. WAY WAY WAY less expensive, I can go at my own pace, and it requires only 150 hours of practicum (doing actual therapy on actual clients) instead of the 500 hours required by my old program.

I spent the day today filling out the application and re-arranging my budget (yes, I trimmed the clothing budget -- a little -- among other things) and I am just as pleased as can be!

That is all. Thanks for letting me share my excitement!!
