OT - euro/uk YLFers. Primer recommendations?

Does anyone have any good general primer suggestions for all over the face after moisturiser? I don't want to spend a fortune but always value any thoughts. I've been using the tesco (Barbara Daly?) one but there isn't a tesco v near so I'm in the market for other suggestions.

I have not tried a primer Polly but have heard good things about the body shop's primer, can you buy Barbara Daly's online. Actually Polly I could pick you one up.

Thanks! I might try the body shop's one this time as we're close to one of those. I'm just lazy - tesco is a drive away but I will be passing there with the children at some point soon - thanks for the offer though!

I've heard wonders of estee lauder primer..but is expensive.

L'oreal has now a primer, but never tried it..

Thunalata, I have tried others, and I always come back to the Shisheido "the make-up" primer. It comes in a tube or a pot - the pot is also lightening, which doesn't work as well for me, I prefer the tube. Try them on the skin on the back of your hand - the difference is amazing. Have fun!!

So helpful! I think estee Lauder and Shiseido are out of my price bracket for the moment (although I've noted them for future reference). Read a few reviews of the other two - they both had lots of good reviews. I've gone for the body shop one for now, but might try the l'oreal one next time. I want to find a good one that works for me and am happy to try a few over the next year or so but didn't want to end up with a complete dud so appreciate the input!

Gosh also made a good primer for oily skin, but my main recommendation is Benefit's That Gal which is a brightening primer for normal skin. I wear it when I want my makeup to last for 8+ hours or when my skin is really dull-looking.

Another one to add to the list! Thanks Dawn. I've put the body shop one on today and am pleased so far. It's better than my previous one (which in turn was better than nothing) at keeping my (minimal) make-up on but I've only had it on for about 3 hours. I'll try one of the others when this runs out.
