To answer your question Victoria - I can't say that I have anything all that special to recommend, because for some reason I keep buying kind of boring (but still fascinating to me) books - things that aren't all that fun to read. I guess the only book I've read recently on my Kindle that I would actually recommend is "Innovator's DNA" - kind of geeky and not all that relaxing, but still an extremely intriguing book about innovative ideas.
To be perfectly honest, I could use some decent fiction recommendations myself! I keep reading all these economics blogs, newspapers, Economist magazine and somewhat dry books about business, politics and the economy. It's not all that relaxing.
The last fiction book I read was "The Help" in paperback (was a gift in my Christmas stocking) and I enjoyed it so much that I read it in about two days.
Meanwhile, my night table has the latest paper copies of The Economist magazine...I have the New York Times on my Kindle and ...next on my list is: "Breakout Nations: In Pursuit of the Next Economic Miracles" by Ruchir Sharma.
For a bit of a twist...
If you're at all interested in the environment and in particular, the Pacific Northwest rainforest, there's an incredibly beautiful book you might want to read - it's called "Chasing Clayoquot: A Wilderness Almanac" - several years old now (2004), but if you ever wanted to feel the rain, the wind and the earth in one of the most beautiful places in the world - then this is the book.

But yeah, as you can see - I could certainly use some lightening up on the reading front. I love reading novels, but I keep reading this other stuff!
