I haven't been online much over the past couple of weeks. I'm teaching a 5-week summer class, had to get the boy ready to head back to college, and DH is still dealing with health complications...some old, some new. *sigh*

Just a quick update for those who weathered the storm with me back in March/April: He has been home from the hospital for 4 months now after suffering severe post-op complications. The nerve damage is healing slowly (as predicted). His right leg is almost back to normal function, and his left is at about 50% function. He's down to a leg brace and a cane (compared to a walker when he first came home), so that's a big improvement. He can drive now, too, which is a great development. Unfortunately, he is now having some trouble with scar tissue and will probably have to have reparative surgery later this month. It's a bummer and a bit of a setback, but you do what you've got to do.

My presence might be a little sporadic in the weeks to come. It seems like every time we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel, the tunnel gets a little longer.
