OT- Clothes for little girls

Does anyone know where to find cute clothes for little girls right now? My four-year-old daughter likes dresses of course, and will tolerate knit tees with leggings as long as they "have something on them" and are pink or purple. But I cannot seem to find anything suitable this season. Everything has sequins and is vaguely tacky and even a bit hooker-y. Even Gap isn't working for us...the styles are too grown up. She's four--she doesn't care about being glam or ironic-hipster. She wants to wear kitty tees and polka dots (but she is over Hello Kitty for some reason).

I love Lands' End for girls! Cute knit dresses (several styles to choose from) and coordinating leggings. My daughter has worn LE dresses for 4 years ... the *same* dress ... they are tunics now! They really are quality dresses that wash and wear well.

Hanna Andersson has beautiful age appropriate clothes for little girls. I also love Olive Juice, which is pricey but their sales are great.

i have two girls - 8 and 6. i love all 3 mentioned above. i am willing to spend a little more for clothes for my girls since i know they will be passed down. i can vouch for the quality of all 3 previously mentioned ( hanna, mini boden (♥), and lands end). i also fill in with target. i can usually find the leggings to complete the outfits and a few inexpensive filler tunics or dresses! good luck and have fun

Yes, Hanna is fabulous quality! I have some items I bought with son number 1 that still look amazing after son number 2. They usually have pretty good resale value on ebay, consignment etc (from what I have heard).

This is my very favorite HA item of my son's - his little critter fleece jacket. I loved it so much we bought it in two sizes!

In addition to the above suggestions, we've found some really cute girls' clothes at reasonable prices at Kohl's.

Thanks ladies! I guess we're going to have to look beyond Target, Gap, and Old Navy right now and spend a bit more. I know the quality of Hanna Andersson is great, and I will check out Land's End and the others you've mentioned. Thanks again for your help!

You already have more informed advice, I just wanted to say that although my almost 3 is still in a Hello Kitty stage I so relate to the purple and pink outifts.
Curiously for me she tends to choose some pointy red high heels every time we enter a shoe store

My daughter has worn hand-me-down Hanna stuff, which has been great. But since I have three sons too, I prefer LE's boy stuff which is probably why I stick with LE for girl's items too. Can't go wrong with the quality of either, really.

From sizes 4-6x to 12-14, my girls loved to shop at Justice. They used to be part of Limited Too, which was a fun, quality store for little girls. Do you have a Justice store near you? Raising my girls, I spent less on gently worn, ornate dresses and more on day-to-day wear from stores like Land's End and Justice. Holiday dresses for little girls can seem like costumes; they're worn so few times! Try Kohl's or Penneys for dresses from brands like Bonnie Jean and Byer.

I also really like Land's End and mini - Boden. You can buy mini Boden at Nordstrom's. I was at KMart the other day and they also had some really cute stuff. There wasn't alot of it, but some of the dress were really adorable. You can also sometimes get good hits at Target....though I am sure you know that !

( BTW - I also finds little girls' clothing overtly sexual and too grown up, and for little boys, I find things soooo aggressive it is insane. )

Gymboree, Hanna, Lands End, LL Bean, and Gap have great staples. I do very well finding all of these brands secondhand--with Target and Old Navy to fill in around the edges. Sometimes past seasons are nicer than what is on offer right now!

I mostly shop at Gap, Old Navy, Target, and Children's Place for my 4 1/2 year old daughter. I love Hannah Andersen, but can't bring myself to spend so much on clothes that will be outgrown so soon. My daughter is on a dress strike, and only wears tops and pants, though, so she's pretty easy. This may sound funny, but I'll make a plug for the underwear at Children's Place - they're SOOO nice - no TV characters, and they come in super cute patterns and colors, are well made, and are quite reasonably priced.
