OT - bread machine recipes

Hello all,
We have recently received from my mother-in-law a breadmaker as an anniversary gift. This is our first bread machine and I am very excited. Do you have any tried and tested recipes?
Also, I would appreciate any advice or tips you might have for a novice.

I actually have a bread machine and never use it. It's great for kneading the dough, but I didn't like the shape of the pan because it is an odd size. You can pull the dough out and bake it in a more traditional pan in the oven, though. I have a bunch of friends who are very into the Artisan Breads in 5 Minutes a Day book, and they just came out with a second one- Healthy Breads in 5 Minutes a Day. I don't think you actually need a bread machine for those, though. I guess I wasn't much help- sorry!

Over here in the UK we get ready mixed packets, you just chuck them in the machine add water and off you go. They do all sorts, tomatobread, harvest grain..... cheating I know but super quick x

I don't have the recipe, but it is out there somewhere, a bread with cheddar cheese and black pepper out of the bread machine. So delicious! Maybe you can google it.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I found a wonderful white bread recipe that I've already made twice successfully. It is very light and fluffy. I am posting it here for other bread machine aficionados.

1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
3 tablespoons white sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cups bread flour
2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast

makes a 1 1/2 loaf bread.

Enjoy.
