OT - an update

Thank-you so much, everyone, for your kind thoughts and prayers.

The results today, following 2 months of chemo, is that there is no new growth (yay!) but no reduction either. In the balance, I am relieved; things have happened so quickly so far that a halt is a step in the right direction for me. DH is somewhat dissappointed - he was hoping for better as the chemo is tough and he is hanging out for an end to it. Understandable, I am sure you will agree.

Thank-you so much for your prayers and thoughts and good vibes; we are lucky to have your support on this journey!

We appreciate the update. Hubby's disappointment is understandable, but the results could have been worse. I'm glad that you are there to assure him that this is good news. Have a super weekend with the kids. We will continue to send healing thoughts and keep you and your family in our hearts.

We are all keeping up the good thoughts for you and hubby! My friend's mom is going through chemo as well, so I totally understand his disappointment. I hope he takes heart that there IS progress and keeps up that fighting spirit!

The main thing is no new growth, which truly is wonderful news...sometimes chemo takes a long time to reduce existing tumors...keep the faith that its going in the right direction and enjoy every day...which is all any of us have...you and your family are in our prayers.

Oh, ((((Lynne)))), it's hard get "indefinite" news, but at least you will have a little respite time before hopefully finding out better news soon. I hope you let the weight off your shoulders for a bit and enjoy your family time.

I have been thinking about you all weekend and wondering how Friday's appointment went.

I must say that whilst I can understand that you and your husband would be wishing for more, I personally am so very happy that despite its gruelling nature, the chemo has, overall, had a positive effect on the tumour growth.

I will be continuing to keep your husband and you in my thoughts for ongoing, *even better than before* news. Just remember to remind both yourself and your husband to think of it as baby little steps, each and every day - this is a marathon, not a sprint..... x

Glad to hear this! I know of several people who had a good result after their initial "it's not growing anymore" result, so I've got my fingers crossed that the next news you get will be an improvement too.
