OT: Addicted to Glee

I REALLY did not need to start watching Glee, but my out of town friend made me watch an episode and now I'm hooked. HOOKED, people! I'm still in the first season. I can't figure out why I like it, other than that it's like some fluffy dessert confection that I can't resist... At least it keeps me from shopping online.

Ditto for me. I used to a long, long, long time ago be a high school music teacher - so it brings up so many great memories for me - so that's one reason I love it. Also, its just so entertaining and I don't have to think very hard - and Sue is hilarious!

I LOVE it as well! I was in band & choir in HS & also maybe a bit of an outcast/underdog so I love these kids!

I'm not that into Glee, really (not a musicals gal) but Jane Lynch rocks my socks in every show she's in. When it comes to silly TV I'm more of a Misfits gal.

My twenty something kids turned me (and husband) on to Glee. It's like a Broadway Musical in your home each week. So fun and entertaining.

Count me in, too! I was a choir girl growing up, and wile we sang classical works, I have a soft spot for musicals. My fave has to be Santana (those who are only in season one will understand more later). It's at the point where the version of Bad Romance she does with Kurt made it onto my iPod instead of the original. Lea Michele, however, drives me batty.

I thought it was a stupid show until my sister moved in with me (100% Gleek); now I watch it all the time with her!

Glee is really clever and such talented actors, writers and singers. I love Kurt!

I love Kurt, and I confess to having a totally inappropriate crush on Finn (thank goodness the actor who plays him is way older than the character). And Sue Sylvester's lines about Shue's hair just KILL me!

I enjoy Glee. I have to say though I really enjoyed the first season the best. There is really a lot of quick witted dark humor thrown in that i feel is now missing since the show became so wildly popular and turned into more of a family thing. Not that it's not still a good show, i'm just not a teenager in high school so sometimes i could just really do without the life lessons that are thrown in more often now.

Me too, Nicole - the second season didn't have quite the level of wit and seemed a bit more disjointed than the first season. Still very fun, though. Maybe I enjoy the show partly because it brings back my band geek memories?
