Our 17.5 year old cat, Riley, is on his last legs. He won't eat or drink - we gave him subcutaneous fluids yesterday, but whatever is wrong with him, I am not putting him through anything invasive. He just curls up by the heater all day... So we're giving him a day or so of cuddling and spoiling before making the big decision. DH and DS are both devastated, and I know I'm the one who will have to make the final call.
He is truly our first baby - he has been with DH and me for our entire relationship. At least we can say he's "lived the life of Riley". Our vet is amazed that a (once) outdoor cat has lived this long.
