OT - not a card nor a flower - off to buy new shoes and handbag

18 years yesterday. You wouldn't think a card would be too much to ask for? I don't like my husband today. I'm going to empty this town of every pair of shoes in my size, and every single handbag. Then I'm going to see what I can find online.

Hugs to you! I'm sorry he forgot and that you're feeling so down. I hope retail therapy makes you feel better. I'm sure the husband will be quite delighted to see what thoughtful presents he has bought you to make up for it!

In my relationship i'm always the one who forgets dates and spans of time. My anniversary is this Sunday (yay i remembered!) but i was telling someone that it would be 5 years and my BFF reminded me that it would actually be 6. Oops.

Luckily my husband isn't much of a shopper.

Feel better and maybe share the loot in some pictures when you're done?

I'm sorry to hear that. Go shopping and bring all the stuff home and let him see it. If he says anything, say you treated yourself on your anniversary.

I am so worry and I understand how his forgetting can feel My DH (I thought, long story) forgot my birthday once and I was very upset.

But I am a bit concerned that you seem to be using shopping to deal with a relational problem? I know you say you can't vent IRL, but really hope that you can talk to him about this soon and tell him about how you feel and that he will make it up to you.

I was prompted by this thread to remember that my DH likes directness and pointed out to him a little list I made called "Anne's birthday suggestions" that was on the fridge! (less than a month til then)
