Hi all!

I just wanted to pop in and say hello since I've been absent and completely off-line for two weeks while at sea in the Arctic!

No WIWs since it was almost all gear (including mud boots and the ever-so-fashionable huge bright yellow parka provided by the expedition company!), but an amazing time seeing incredible sights and photographing with some of the best photographers alive today. I feel so lucky to have done this!

A few highlights:

- several nights viewing the northern lights
- multiple polar bear sightings, including one nearly 200 miles off the coast of Greenland on a hunk of polar sea ice, where the ship captain navigated the ship right up to the bear's ice
- sightings of walrus, whales, musk ox, arctic hare, and seals
- the fjords of Greenland, filled with icebergs of all shapes and sizes

I'll share some photos later. I'm in Reykjavik now, so it's good to be back on dry land with a couple of days to relax before I fly home. I hope you all have been well!

PS I just added a couple of my best polar bear pix. As you can tell in the second one, she had just finished dinner.
