I still haven't added anything to my closet this year, but I've had some packages coming and going.

Here's what I've tried and returned:

Nisolo Mules - These were beautiful and looked great, but were too small and they don't offer a size up. It hurt to send them back, because they were perfect in every other way.

Soludos Mules - Fairly comfortable, but I didn't care for the shape of the upper.

Madewell Mules - The fit was weird on these. Just right in length, too loose on upper. I felt like I'd be stumbling in them.

Madewell Emmett Crops - This was my first order from Madewell, and their sizing wizard suggested a size too small, but I won't be reordering, The color wasn't what I expected--more khaki than olive. I might try them on one more time to see if it might be worth ordering in a different color at some point.

Still on the way:

Eileen Fisher jumpsuit and Elizabeth Suzann dress. These are both potential solutions for my work-at-home "uniform." I'm hoping for easy, breezy no-brainer outfits that I can wear for crafting, photo shoots, and computer work.

Other mule suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking for a flat-1.5" heel in a shade of tan or cognac with an upper that runs straight across (like the Nisolos and Madewells). Bonus points for ethical manufacturing/labor practices. I think Eileen Fisher has a pair coming in her spring collection, but I wasn't fast enough to pre-shop in the limited window last week.
