Order now, or wait for Black Friday extra discount?

There’s no real answer of course.
I was interested in some items that have gone on sale online at Nordstrom- some are Vince items, which, when I hit it right, can become workhorses, but I balk at their full price; and also some shoes, not even sure if they would do but I’ve been working my way through the entire loafer inventory it seems, trying to find the ones, so will try a few more.
The website says will do another 20% off on Black Friday. But my sizes sell out- already out of a number of the sale items. Also I’m working the holidays and not good at “ pouncing” at 1:00 a.m.

I didn’t read any fine print to see if price adjustments are/ are not made for this particular sale situation, but think I may order at the existing sale price and not worry about the extra discount.

Anybody else watching, waiting, or just doing?

If your size sells out, then I’d just get the stuff now.
Or are willing to completely miss out for an extra discount?

If you’re up to the extra effort you could order now and return the first pair later if they are still available at a Black Friday price?

There are a few things I’m getting as Christmas presents this weekend. I know it may be marked down another 10%, but depending on what it is, I don’t want to risk what I need being sold out. I am finishing up my holiday shopping and look forward to it all being done. It seems like they’re marking things down for “Black Friday” already. If there’s anything that’s not on sale, I would consider waiting it out. I always try to finish up shopping in November, in part cause I try to avoid the mall or the post office next month.

I think they weren't doing any price adjustments last year, to my dismay, so they probably won't do it this year either.
I would say to order now. If your size is still available on Black Friday I would re-order then and return the first order if they don't do price adjustments. A bit annoying but worth it if the discount is significant. I have just ordered a couple of pricier pieces on sale. My size is already sold out, but I will employ the tactic above if my size comes back in stock on Black Friday.

I’ve been ordering gifts online this weekend, without really paying attention to what’s coming for Black Friday. I considered waiting for one item at REI, then decided I could get something at a fashion shop that serves the purpose just as well.

I would buy my size now. If price adjustment are not given, I would return/rebuy. Lots of effort. Sometimes it is worth it.

I am going to order a few things that I’d really like to try, and just see.
Sterling, it’s that Nordies advertises this extra 20% which would make a difference on a big item it large order.
I could see myself doing a return/ reorder on maybe one item buy not multiples- might drive mf bonkers and feel bad, too.
Of course sometimes it might work out that I need a different size or color.
It’s easier to wait for specific sales when I already know the item is what I want. Otherwise I’m partly just “ shopping “ until I get to see it and try it on.
