Orange wedge sandals

I know many of you have turned your eyes to fall/winter with the NAS, but I'm still rounding out my summer wardrobe with a few sale items. Found these Franco Sarto wedges on sale at Lord and Taylor online and thought they'd give my mostly neutral summer wardrobe a little kick. Photos #4-5 are two of my neutral dresses that need a little excitement...like orange sandals! (Suz, I'm following your excellent advice regarding the dress in #4 and going with orange/coral accessories.) I'm thinking the sandals will also work with my VC midi skirts, shorts, white denim....

What do you think? They're pretty comfy. I'm open to styling advice, as always. Thanks!

I like them! It's a leg lengthening style (not that you need it!). They're not high fashion, I guess, but they're also not going to go out of style. And they're pretty versatile.

Are you still wearing those fantastic sandals you got last year? I loved those so much. I guess they are a neutral, though.

Thanks, Suz. I like them, too....although I'm not in love with them like those sandals from last summer (which I tend to "save" for special occasions..shame on me!). These ones aren't high fashion, like you said, but they fill a hole and will probably be useful.

I have orange sandals and have found that I wear them a lot even they are the only orange thing I own. Adds some fun to neutral outfits.

Thanks, AM. So many of my shoes are neutral/light to bookend my hair that I felt like branching out a little. Ha! I went from having too many black shoes to having too many neutral/light shoes.

Pretty sandals! I am with you rounding out my summer wardrobe with a few planned out sale items. Orange sandals will add a right amount of fun to neutral outfits. I think Angie mentioned in one of her posts that platform sandals never go out of style.

I love that soft orange for you Nancylee, and those look like great shoes! I don't think they look mumsy at all. If they are comfortable as well, I say KEEP!

I think they might be "mumsy" if they were beige, but they're not. They're bright orange. I think the colour takes them over the edge.

I don't think they are "mumsy" at all. The colour really helps, and they look like good quality, too. Wear and enjoy! But wear those other ones, too!
