Hi guys,
I am back again. Sorry I am always so unreliable, but I just cannot find time. Anyway... I wanted to share the colour orange with you.
As a Dutch person, orange is a familiar colour: our king's last name is orange and on his birthday the whole country is dressed in silly orange items. And I mean the WHOLE country. So wearing this colour puts you at risk. People might say: "It is not the king's birthday yet".
I choose to ignore such remarks as I love what orange does for my complexion.
Here are four outfits with this colour.

Love it!!! Those oxfords!!! Dutch orange, at least as it appears on my monitor, is probably one of my better colors, but it is not very common in the U.S. Maybe I should make a trip to the Netherlands? But I am short (about 155 cm), so I don't know that I would find much to fit.

Fun and fresh! That shade of orange is not a very common colour where I live (in Toronto), so whenever I see someone wearing it, I assume that he or she is Dutch. It always makes me smile.

You are my new style icon. Just wow! I love orange and feel it doesn't get enough consideration as a serious contender. I often wear some variation of orange or coral for spring and summer. (I shift towards plum, oxblood, etc for a/w.)

Wow, those are such great outfits! There are a lot of options for wearing Dutch orange, aren't there? And I know how you feel about getting comments like that. I feel like I'm inviting them when I wear red/white/blue when it's not a national holiday - although it's just a great color combination. The same for any shade of red & green, when it's not December. I'm glad you're wearing orange when you want to!

That skirt is amazing! You always look so polished and chic.

I have a lot of Dutch in my family bloodline (the Van Cortlandts who helped build New Amsterdam/New York!), and have an affinity for all things Dutch. But I also don't wear orange very well. I still wear it on certain occasions (for example, my favorite cycling jersey which matches my orange bike!), but usually stick to wearing it in a print where other colors can mitigate its lack of flattery on my skin tone.

Love this color on you - fantastic outfits all around too. I can wear some shades of orange but I don't find them available much. Coral is about as close as I get most often.

Lovely colour on you. Love that skirt. Orange is my favourite colour. I had orange hair when I was very little (actually most people would say it was strawberry blonde). I don't wear as much orange as I use to but I have some.

I am a huge fan of orange too, though there's no Dutch in my background. I am really surprised however that no Americans have mentioned that we actually have a similar problem if we wear orange with black. If we do, someone *always* brings up Halloween. It's unfortunate because the colors look great together.

Well ladies, I am really smitten by all your lovely compliments. Orange is a colour hard to find in clothes and shoes. If they are out there I am drawn to them like iron to a magnet. Like with the orange skirt. For me it is a colour which brings a glow to my face, like all reds.
And any remarks about Halloween or Kings Day or anything like that... just smile and totally ignore it. Which is a grand solution for a lot of things. (I should listen to this advice myself as I am usally easy to wind up haha.)
