Hi Ladies,

Feel Ike I'm on a bit of a shopping see saw at the moment! And I'm getting so picky and perhaps over thinking things a lot.

I am considering two purchases and would love your feedback as I seem incapable of decision making at the moment:)

#1/2. Very simple sleek pointy toed booties. I do have other booties in black but not a pointed toe. I can see these with dresses and pants. I have pretty much given up my search for sleek tall boots and will happily make do with the what I have for the time being as I really seem to be favouring booties anyway.

#3 my Metalicus dress (black) is available on deep sale in Cobblestone (grey/blue) and I am considering it. I LOVE the black and see the blue as as a nice alternative, particularly for day wear and office wear. I have tried the blue on and I thought it look fab.

I'd need to see the booties on. Are they suede? Suede tends to look heavier than leather imo so no as good with dresses.

The cobblestone is such a lovely colour Deborah, you can't go wrong.
I guess it's a matter of if you will reach for the duplicate enough to justify having 2 of the one style dress in your closet?
The boots look classic, but with the usual problem of buying on-line without knowing how the fit will be until you can try them.

Thanks Caro. I have a lot of black suede in footwear and tend to wear it with leggings or opaque tights so so you think in that case the heavy-ness of the suede would be ok?

Thanks Lyn, I think I would wear each equally.. I hope. I have had a lot of success with online shoe purchases until the recent pair of tall boots so I might give them a go/)

A pair of pointed toe booties would be nice. I don't have the same issue with suede that Caro has. Some of my favorite winter booties to wear with dresses are suede (usually worn with tights). My only question on these is the fit around the ankle. These look like they could be a little wide and potentially have that "flower pot" look with dresses. I like mine fairly close fitting at the ankle. You may have to try them to find out.

Deborah - I love the cobblestone color. It's like a stormy sea. I think this would work brilliantly with your palate!! Big yay from me!! I like the boots a lot. I just ordered the aquatalia famous on deep sale from 6pm (the first) and would have liked the pointier toe fetch (the second with slightly lower heel). They are waterproof suede. I am hoping they will hold up better than regular. Yours look similiar but with pointier toe and higher shaft which I adore. But I always worry about suede. I adore it, but I am hard on shoes. The ones you picked are very pretty. I tend to pick lower shafts for dresses but that's a personal preference. The shape is beautiful!!

Thanks Parsley. I think we have a similar relationship with suede:). I don't mind the flower pot look as long as it's not too extreme.

The dress is an easy yes - it is such a great style for you. The boots look good but it all depends how they look on.

Iffy on the booties, as they don't look like they will hug the ankle. Nothing makes me nuts faster than gappy boots.

Yes, yes, yes to the blue dress! I like the booties, particularly with they're reasonable heel and pointy toe. Just depends on how they fit in with your current options.

I love the boots! Suppose it depends how they look on the foot, but I love the simple extra dark look of the suede. The dress is beautiful too

I LOVE the dress for you and flat-out adore the colour. gryffin is so right -- stormy sea. It's gorgeous and I would go for it.

I also love the boots, but I am such a sucker for anything remotely like a Chelsea boot that maybe it's not a good test. I would try them and see about the ankle fit if you want to wear them with dresses. In my experience the elastic gored ones can often be extremely good and surprisingly versatile. I wear my Stuart Weitzman chelseas with all kinds of stuff.

LOVE the dress, and if you are using the black version a lot, a different color really is a different outfit piece.

Definitely get the dress. It looks like it'll be a wardrobe workhorse. Very much your style, and easy to wear.
