Hi Ladies,

Thanks so much for your encouragement in my earlier post today:)

I have been eyeing this jacket (possibly the suit) for a while and it is currenlty marked down. It is blue not black and is a tweed knit suit jacket featuring a notched lapel, single button closure and 2 mock pockets. Fully lined. It's reasonably light and could be worn Spring / Autumn and possibly Winter. I can see the jacket over pants too, including jeans.

I have tried it on twice and like it a lot. I think I am an Hourglass with Apple tendencies:) Do you think the shape and cut of this jacket would work for me?
Is is too conservative? Interesting enough for my style.

Oooh; I love it! I really like the shape of the lapels - they are different, but yet not crazy-out-there! And I think the one button is very flattering!

Have you tried it on? Is it itchy?

Lyn yes I have tried it on and it's fully lined so no itch factor.

I find this big lapels hard to wear.. and I'm not crazy about the fabric..

I love it and I know I'd be very eager to make it work for me

I also say go for the whole suit, the fabric can be treated like neutral and is great for subtle pattern mixing.

I think this tweed knit look is trending at the moment and is fairly timeless (think Chanel without the huge price tag) so you can't go wrong Deb.
I would seriously consider the skirt too for future versatility.
I like the hourglass shape for you as well.

I'm on team YES and get the skirt too or you'll regret it later. I'm on the hunt for tweed suit and/or separates too. This really does look like your style.

Wow, I like it a lot! Very shape-i-fying. I personally would wear it more as separates, but I could imagine wearing both pieces that way.

Thanks Ladies. I went and picked up the jacket after work but the skirt was sold out in my size. I may ask them to see if they can get me one in as I they still have my size on line. Wilk style jacket and post for keep or return.

Ack!! I LOVE this (you probably knew I would!). Can't wait to see you style it. I think getting the suit is an entirely practical thing to do. That gives you the ability to have a full suit if needed, but use the jacket and skirt as separates also. You might know this already, but dry clean both at the same time even if you haven't worn one - keeps the wear and tear the same so when you do combine them as a suit one doesn't look newer than the other.

Just wanted to let you know I got the skirt! Thanks for encouraging me to buy it. I do think having the suit will be useful.

My store didn't have my size so they tracked one down in a store 2 hours away but they wouldn't transfer it because it was marked down:(. But as it happensI was traveling their the next day to attend a wedding so I made a quick detour en route to said wedding and picked it up:). Explained to DH that I was multi tasking and Bei g time efficient! Haven't tried it on yet, but will today and do some pics for your approval xx

Oh, so great that you were able to get the skirt after all! I am very curious to see this on. The big lapels seem like they could be tricky, but I trust your eye.
