It's not $400-$600. It's 100% merino wool. It's says loose style, but seems more fitted.

It seems a kind of hybrid. I would like to see it in person...is it 100% merino? The cut isn't very traditional. What are your goals for a fisherman sweater? A guernsey? Just some kind of cable knit sweater?

I am perhaps the wrong one to answer, but here goes, lol. I think they add a lot of bulk unless you are very slim and difficult to layer over if it is wet, IMHO

I like it - are you okay with that kind of neckline? I found this cheap one on Urban Outfitters, though it's acrylic. I like that the top is black (the pink/red is also cute):

I kinda like it, with a twinge of nostalgia. My dad had one years ago that this reminds me of. I would wear it slightly large and slouchy for that reason, like I borrowed dad's sweater.

I think it's a lovely sweater. My fear with this style is bulky knits can be tricky when one has any sort of substantial bustline (like I do). For this reason I find a finer gauge knit is sometimes easier to wear. Maybe check if anything from this company is catching your
eye? Similar price range and they specialize in knitwear.

Thanks for the laugh about the frumptastic jumpsuits! I'm attracted to them because they look cozy & I'd like to snuggle up in them. Laura, next time I wear something frumpy, I'm gonna say it's avant garde & I did it on purpose

Don't ask me--I have had a lifelong love of one-pieces. A-P looks great, but she is very flat chested. Having said that, I'd love it if you prove me wrong about the chunky knit though.

I like the sweater and love that type of neckline, so that's a bonus in my book. Chunky knits can be hit or miss, the only way to find out if this one will work for you is just try it on.
I love jumpsuits, but am not a fan of this particular one, so I can't help you there;-)
