Opinions on these two NAS jackets please!

Hello everyone, nice to be back.

I have my eyes on two jackets at NAS and , since I can not get to the store, I was wondering if anyone has seen them reality, what's the material like, sizing, quality etc.

I didn't see either of these in person, but the first jacket has "Tanya" written all over it! The second one looks like a beautiful jacket for an amazing price -- the only hesitation is if those front slash-style pockets would be popping open in an unflattering way when you sit down, etc. Does that make any sense?

Tanya, I haven't seen them in person but I prefer the first one. The second one has a strange poof around the pockets (or so it appears in the photo), but it would be a great, versatile piece for you as well if it doesn't really do that irl.

Tanya, I just got back from the NAS and did try on the second Frenchi jacket since I was interested in it too. I liked it, liked the fit but wasn't sure how the length was going to work. A large worked better for me though I usually wear a medium but I think for you, the small will just fine. The quality is good, not exceptional. The leather is not as soft as some of the higher end jackets I saw there but they were out of my price range Seeing as I live in Fl I can't justify spending much on a leather jacket.

I hadn't thought about Laura said so I wasn't paying attention to that paticular detail. I love the first jacket and wish I had noticed it

I haven't seen either in person but would agree that the first is so you. That being said, I do like the second one, too. Maybe it's because I'm enjoying doing things that are a bit different for myself, I'm telegraphing that onto you. But I like that it would bring a new twist to your look. I'm thinking both would look so hot with your docs.

Dani, I am doing somewhat better, thanks for the question.

Niva, how does the Frenchie jacket run? I don't know if I should get XS or S because of the juniors sizing?. I am normally a XS in regular sizes, S in juniors.
Recently I lost a lot weight and dropped 1-2 clothing sizes. However, I still wear 32C bra and have decent shoulders. Thanks!

Tanya, I think the jackets run true to size to juniors sizing. I usually wear a medium in regular clothing and most times have to bump up to large in juniors, because of bust (32DDD) and shoulder fit issues. I am still able to zip up the jcekt all the way in a medium, it is just a bit snug all over and a little restrictive around the shoulders. The large seemed to fit well. So, in short, if you wear a small, I'd go with small just so it isn't too restrictive. I went back again just now during lunch and tried on this jacket: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....rchresults
I liked it much better overall and leather quality is much better than the Frenchi jacket. Twice as expensive but worth it. I didn't buy that either since DH and I found it a little weird on me when worn unzipped.

Hi Tanya. It's so nice to hear from you on the forum.
I like the plaid jacket, and like the others I thought immediatly it was so Tanya. I think it is the waist definition that makes it so you because you are so curvy. It also has a very interesting neckline. The neckline is so pretty but could pose a problem with what to wear under it. It kind of looks good on it's own.
I also like the black Victorian jacket which is off to the side of the page that the plaid jacket is on.

I love the colour of the second one, that would look gorgeous on you but something seems a bit off around the pockets.

I haven't ordered anything yet, and the first jacket and pewter flats are already sold out I guess I couldn't order anything before getting YLF approval.

I guess I'll go ahead and call Nordies and see if they can track any of these for me, and order whatever I wanted that's still available before it sells out.

Oh I love that first one. I kind of want it too....

The second one is cute too. I love how it looks on you Niva (kind of hard to tell, but from what I can tell it's great).

I do not know about these jackets but the things I have tried on from BP run very small. I once tried a medium and it was too tight (but it was a clingy jersey dress). And you know I am not even close to being a large :p

Thank you all for all the kind words of welcome. I have missed you all greatly. I don;t know if I can be here very day, since things are pretty hectic now: I have 7 job interviews in the next couple of days and my thesis defense is scheduled for 6 weeks from now, but I'll try to, as much as I can.

For any of you who wanted the plaid jacket too, I called their customer service and they were able to locate it in some store and they are shipping it to me! So you should call them too if you really want it, before it sells out of stores as well.
