Opinions on these two dresses?

I'm having some luck purging my closet via eBay and told myself I could use the proceeds to shop. I have these two dresses on my watch list and the prices and sizes are right. What do you think - should I bid on one or both of these?

1. Rust/orange mosaic-print shirt dress. Love the shape, not sure about the color. I look good in earth tones much more than pastels, but is this too orange?
2. Close up of the color/pattern
3. Shirtdress in a red chambray-type shade.

I also got my black dress with leopard trim yesterday and I love it, but I'm home with some kind of bug today - will try it on and show you pics soon!

Tricia, can you wear that orange? I couldn't, but if you can pull it off, I like that dress much better than the other one. It has a more classic feel to me somehow because of the shape.

Where's your E-bay store? Anything we here might want to buy?

#1 is definitely an earthy color, not too orange, I like it!

My hesitation with #2 is that as an IT it will really emphasize your broad shoulders. I would pass, unless you're ok with that.

Ooh, Kate nailed my concern exactly - I couldn't put my finger on it. That cut is like a cap sleeve.

I really like the peach dress (red chambray) on the model because she's super edgy with her OTT hair and tattooed body. She balances out the twee dress perfectly.

I like the shape of dress #1. Do you wear those colours, Tricia?

I really love that color orange...but not everyone can wear that color. I'm considered a "winter" and I tend to keep away from orange. But if your face lights up when you put on those colors, its a keeper! I do like the shape of both dresses. They are nice for spring.

I couldn't do carroty-orange, but I can do that color. I think I'm going to bid on that one - only a day left and it's still at $10.

I like them both- a lot! I love the conservative silhouette of the first one. The second has a little more edgy interpretation of the same silhouette. It's balanced by the color though- looks like honeysuckle- how very now.

I'm not as familiar with your body type so I can't answer the way the others have. What I can say though, is based on the photos I've seen of you, these look perfect for your style.

I hope you get them and love them!
