Opinions on these Rag and Bone booties?

Hi everyone! Longtime reader but first time poster here!! I've been having a hard time deciding between these two or possibly to have both. Received both as a gift and it's so hard to justify the price! I keep wondering if there are other things I get purchase with the cost of these shoes!! haha....here are the links:

(the Newbury boot that I have is a Black leather version though)

SO, 2 neutral color booties black and brown, so so cute but worth it??? i don't know...wondering if anyone could shed some light on these for me!!

Totally worth it. Very on-trend but also workhorses! If you don't want both, I'd decide which one you'd wear more.

Also, who gives you these gifts, and can s/he provide a blood transfusion for my husband?

i think i would start with an assessment of what you need in your closet then of those needs, do you want them more than a pair of booties? if you want a pair of booties more, then you can decide if you want to keep one or both of the rag and bone ones, or if you'd prefer to shop for other booties.

without knowing much about your closet, it's a bit hard to advise on these specific shoes as suitable for you. there is another philosophical question...are these or any shoes worth the price. you may just have a case of sticker shock. have you tried on the shoes? are they comfy? what price point do you usually pay for booties? so many questions to answer...but only you can answer them.

They are very different and serve to fill different wardrobe niches.

I think the Durham is more unique. If you had the Newbury in brick, I say keep that, but in black it would just be a basic ankle boot.

They're both very cute, but as bj1111 says, it depends on how well they'll go with your clothes, and how often you think you'll wear them.

In my experience, expensive shoes and boots are generally worth it in terms of style and comfort. If you'll wear them nearly every day for a year, and if you can trot all over town without getting sore feet, then they're probably worth it.

Wow! That is one nice gift!

I LOVE both these and if you have any need for booties, keep both!

I say that as a person who bought her first pair of booties this year; I could really use both a plain black and a neutral brown option. But if you have a closetful already, then that's a different matter!

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for all your input! It was really helpful! I have tried both of them on numerous times!! They are both extremely comfy! My style is more of a preppy with an edgy/slouchy touch style. ( if that makes sense ) This year I've really been into ankle boots and my eye has been drawn to them. Yes, I believe that it is quite a sticker shock and I'm wondering to myself if these are truly an investment piece. Both of these shoes are really hard to find now in my size and so that's why i've been going back and forth. sigh what to do.... and modgrl I LOVE those r&b boots too!!! and lol yes these are really nice gifts, i'm thankful for it! if i return them i don't want to keep pining away for them and regret it. sometimes i THINK i'm gonna wear something all the time but end up not wearing it....and sometimes the things i don't think i'm gonna wear all the time, i end up wearing it to death and wish i had another one! thank for all your support. hopefully i'll make a decision soon! thank you!!
