Opinions on a couple new things-pretty please...

I was at Nordies and saw the Beltrix top so many of you have, but it was too tight in the shoulders and they didn't have a larger size..so the clerk talked me into this one-it's like wearing nothing, very tissuey and lightweight, so layering is essential. I really liked it in the store and think it looks best with the black tank shown underneath but now that I see the pictures I'm not sure it looks that great-it wasn't cheap either!

Also, picked up this shirtdress, it is lightweight and sort of gray denimish looking..what do you think ladies? You can be honest..I can handle the truth!

I like the tunic, and I like that top with the black cami. The issue that I have had with my Bellatrix top is the sheerness. I can only wear it with an under layer that is very close in tone to my bottoms, or else layered underneath something so that you don't have the issues.

I really like the tunic. Looks like something you can transition to spring with leggings and some cute flats. I love the sheer top with the ls grey top and the black cami--not so much with the lighter top. It looks like a fun summer top--that affords coverage yet is still light and airy. When it's really hot around here, I can hardly stand more than one layer--how is it where you are?

I do like it Carole, but it doesn't get a whole lot of wear because of the sheerness issue. I also noticed a little hole the last time I wore it
I think Kelly asked a good question- will it be something that you can wear in the summertime layered?

Thanks Kelly. The sales girl insisted the white looked great, bought that too. But I'm like you I like the gray and black better and those were already in my closet. It is so cold here, I'm in the Pacific NW and can see wearing this with mostly a longer sleeve layer, but it would be nice to have something pretty to wear into summer with a cami or tank under. The pattern isn't very summery but the fabric sure is.

The tunic is a keeper.
I like the blouse too... but you need to wear it with the lower cut black tank underneath. I dont' think you want to wear it over long sleeves or a high neck. It looks like a nice summer dressy top.

CS-I don't want something that won't get worn much, that's for sure, especially at $68.

Kim-Thanks for the input, I like it with the tank too, but to be practicle I would hope to be able to wear it with a longer sleeve-it's so cold here even in the spring. Hmmm Glad you like the tunic, that was a find from Target!

I like the tunic, great color. The sheer top would certainly work in the NW since you'll be able (need?) to layer most of Spring and into Summer as well. I MUCH prefer it layered with the tank than the long sleeve tops, so I would consider this more of a Summer than Spring top. I agree with Chewy about aiming for a lower layer that is close in contrast to whatever bottoms you'll be pairing with.

I like the denim tunic, but I'm not such a fan of the blouse. Not sure what it is...maybe the empire elastic waist paired with the dolman sleeves.

Angie-So glad you notice my move out of the comfort zone-I'm trying-do you think that the top looks ok with the longer sleeves, or should this be a tank or cami only layer underneath? Thanks for your help!

That tunic looks *great*! I bet you'll get a lot of wear out of it. I agree with others that the blouse looks best with a cami. I think it's too ethereal(?) to be paired with long sleeves.

I'm a fan of that shirtdress, it looks like it has great layering potential. The sheer blouse is just the opposite, I think it will only work with darker layers underneath and is a more standout on it's own type of piece. If you layer a white tank underneath I think you will need white jeans to balance it out.

Thanks ticksgirl and Lisa! I'm still not sure I will be keeping the top, it will be a long time before I can wear it if it's a cami only layer, I suppose that's ok, but I think my $$ should go towards something a little more versatile..we shall see. Thanks for helping figure this out!
