Opinions needed: keep or donate this dress?

Sorry in advance for the poor photo quality! In case you can't tell, this dress is red with a black overlay and black beading along the bottom with shinier red fabric along the bust.

I'm cleaning out my closet in anticipation of moving and am trying to decide if I should keep this dress or not. I do like it, but my concern is that since I purchased it from the juniors section of a department store while I was in college that it looks like I am trying to re-wear my prom dress. I'm currently 25 years old if that makes a difference. I have a couple of other dresses I can wear to formal events, which I don't go to very many of. Hmm, there is nothing wrong with this dress, but I like all of your other ones much more. If the right event was on the horizon, would you reach for it? Or would you always first pick one of the other ones? That should help you decide.

I like the dress and don't think it looks like a prom dress. It's a little hard to tell in the photo - but does the top fit right? I can't quite tell if it's too loose or not. I usually ask myself the same questions that Tanya brings up - do you always reach for something else first and will you wear it if given the right occasions?

Thanks Sara and Tanya. I think I've settled on donate. The last occassion on which I could have worn this dress I went out and bought something else (the JCP dress in the link but in a dark blue). I guess the red dress just doesn't seem sophisticated enough to me, I'm not sure what occassion would be appropriate to wear it. In the pile it goes!
