(In yellow.) I know it's Nordstrom and I can always send back, but I guess I don't want to go thru the anticipation and all if it's unlikely to work. Historically these boyish styles have not worked well for me, despite being exactly what I wish I could wear!

Now, reading customer reviews, I also find out it's more of a yellow-green ("psychedelic") than a canary yellow. Hmm. And no petite sizing, either. I know you're all thinking, just order it for pete's sake.

I think it's definitely worth a try. The length looks good, and the collar isn't oversized like some motos have. Great colour too - don't you have a raincoat in this colour?

This is a good and flattering length on me - somewhat cropped on regular height but less so for shorties like us. I wish I hadn't seen it as I'm obsessed with neon citron right now... Try it!

Let us know if you ever spot a Petite moto!!! I rarely see them. . .This one looks like it is not bulk-ifying and is a shortish length so it might work for you if the arms aren't too long. Some styles have tons of doodads and huge collars, and this isn't one of them. Worth a try IMHO.

Oh I think this could be lovely Mochi.

Providing you have a good fit through the shoulders and the sleeves are slimline. The folds at the collar make an almost mock revere collar and the zip provides a nice vertical line. Plus is the length is not too long you have the advantage of being able to lengthen the leg line to aid proportions.

In short I think it's worth a try.

Ok. Well, to suck-on-lemons and project shamelessly, my feeling is it won't work. I've bought a few colorful motos for my short-waisted, apple self with visions of sugar plums dancing in my head. Then I get them home and they're so not me.

I struggle with the same issues, Mochi. Broad Shoulders and short waist plus big bust make moto's a challenge to fit, but I could see this as one I would consider trying. I think the collar would be flattering and it doesn't look too short. Worth a go IMO.

Your motto quest seems akin to my never ending quest for a denim jacket that doesn't transect me : I vote try it. No other way to know. The only way to find out is when you wear it. I've learned that seeing it and wearing it can be totally different. And yes free returns do make it better!

I'm IT/apple-ish with a large bust & short waist & I love this shaped jacket on me. The trick for me is where the front edges of the jacket sit - there is a real sweet spot I need to find. If you love this shape don't give up, I'm sure you'll find one that's right for you

The sleeves will be too long Nancy, but motos are actually really good on an apple shape - when worn open. Another vote to try the style.

Angie sounds right to me! Moto's seem very good for short waist since I find them difficult for my long waist and pear shape. I vote try on several types and you will find the one for you. Some have shorter or longer sleeves, some look really good open while others not so much--sometimes has to do with how the collar is sewn or how stiff. I can't usually tell from photos but have to try them on.

Thanks, Angie and everyone! I went ahead and ordered it with crossed fingers. I would be wearing the jacket open all the time. It'll be interesting to see if it really does flatter an apple shape. Hopefully you'll be seeing my K/R pics soon. Thanks again.
