Opinion please-outfit for a “meetup”

If the weather holds up, I’m going to a meetup tomorrow with a new group. It’s a pot luck lunch and should be around 15 people. Obviously I’ve never met these people before and other than this meetup topic not sure what we have in common. I’d like to look and feel like myself and as approachable and interested. I’m leaning towards wearing one of these outfits , would love to hear your thoughts. Any that you would definitely NOT wear? Any that you think are clear winners? And why. Or do you think none of these...

My favs for that purpose are 1, 7, 6 maybe untucked. But depends a bit on your location and the type of group. NYC is different than my CA suburbs.

I like the red in 1 as I find it an approachable color, perfect shade for you and fits well, 7 because it has interest with the stripes, and #6 because I like the white and black Fair Isles sweater. I think the black tops aren’t as approachable unless there is really something unique about them. Or in the rest of the outfit.

Hope this helps/isn’t too harsh.
Best thing is to smile and be relaxed. Unfortunately not my strong suit.

I like all but 2 and 5, and those fall to the bottom because of the distressed/faded jeans (my poison eye.) But my favorites are 1 and 6. They just look neat, current and a little more dressed up than the others. 7 comes in close behind.

#6 then 7. 6 is so stylish but still at heart “ sweater/pants/booties “ . Would not wear the distressed jeans. Red top is a great color but a bit shapeless on you.

I’m with the collective on 1, 6 or 7. Will you be standing or sitting? Make sure you can be comfortable.

Barbara Diane, Best thing is to smile and be relaxed...not my strong suit either. And your comments , and all the others, are exactly what I was looking for.
I’m so glad I posted...my 1st though was that #5 was the clear way to go because the color was friendly and the oversized sweater made me look less tailored and uptight..ie more approachable. Interesting....

#1 is my favorite. It has a nice approachable color and looks dressy at the same time. I don’t know what the type of group is so it may be overdressed if the group is very casual.

My favorites upon quick first impressions are 1 and 6. Casual but plenty of personality and nicely polished!

this has been SO helpful!
i'm narrowed down to #1 or #6...will see how i feel in the AM....

i'm not at all sure what the group will be like, meeting is 2 neighborhoods over, its one of those small neighborhoods in my city that tends to be populated with people associcated with the local universities...but not sure where the rest of the group is coming from...

Number 1 or 6. #1 is a classic dressy look, whereas #6 is more trendy. Both are lovely without looking too formal or contrived. I hope you have fun at the meet-up.

a big thanks to everyone for their input....weather ended up being messy, so white jeans were out...so went with a hydrid of #6 & #1....navy fair isle with dark jeans...
