SF I like it with the ( Frye?) boots which sort of pick up the 2 colours in the top? And shortening it like Firecracker did with hers could be great, but we should see it out first

Great suggestions.
Carla I will try it with the JK pants.
Joy good eye! I bought the top as part of a collection. The pants were a natural linen colour and the jacket was natural colour. The jacket was cropped. Both pieces are gone from so much wear.
Jenni the boots are Clarks. They are 2 toned. Good attention to details.

What rachylou said, with caveats.
I'm determined to keep culling my wardrobe even though I have tons of space ( though it's in the " extra bedroom " closets) currently. So I have been doing what you're doing, pulling things out and trying them on. I still have trouble with the instant "love" assessment BUT am doing better at, what's this items role in my wardrobe?
I would some tryons where you ask yourself, does this look fab on me? , or is there just one aspect that's attracting you? Such as , you may live the color, or print. Also, what else in your wardrobe serves the same purpose-- note, does not have to be another sheer blouse, but something you'd wear instead that looks BETTER.
I find sheer animal print clothing "difficult" also.

I have no suggestions for styling (I'm not very imaginative when it comes to styling!), but I do like the top. It looks like something that could be worn despite whatever is trending at the moment.

Is it still raining and Mr SF too busy to take a pic?
I like Runcarla’s idea of wearing it over a black tank dress.

Great suggestions everyone. Thanks for nudging me Fashiontern. I got distracted. My top will have to wait until April now.

I just realized that I have a similar print on a rather sheer long-sleeved shirt/blouse. I enjoy most wearing it under a faux furry vest.

Gorgeous look Joy. Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to rescue my top. It is in my holding zone.

Missed this thread first time around. Just want to say - I love this blouse, and nth the suggestion to use it as a layering piece. I can see it working really well under a sleeveless gilet or even a denim jacket.

Garments like this are never workhorses but they're great to have on hand to make casual looks more formal. This is the sort of thing I pack on my holidays so I've got something to dress up my hiking pants.

I love the top also and definitely see it as a layering piece. You've already had a bunch of great styling suggestions. I miss Mexx, too!!

Approprio, I can see you taking a break by the trail, sitting on a boulder, pack at your side, looking at a picturesque view, in your Kuhl pants, rugged boots, and munching on bread and cheese accompanied by a glass of wine and wearing this blouse.

fashiontern, I'm all about my Arcteryx pants and malt whisky, but otherwise you could be right - silk is excellent fabric for a base layer

My blouse is getting lots of wonderful advice. I love it but could never quite figure out what to do with it. Approprio you are right. It will never be a workhorse but it will make an appearance from time to time. Yes, Suz it is a great layering piece. Mexx always fit me perfectly. Their pants were wonderful for me. Sob sob.
