I saw this dress in the window of the Michael Kors store

Oh! It is so pretty and says Anna all over it - I really like the contrast zipper in the back because it's so perfectly symmetrical!

I guess you probably can't wear it to work ... hmm, weren't there some dates upcoming in your future with the Peru Hike Boy?

Love the tone-on-tone floral pattern in that hot pink colour. I also like the black exposed zipper on the back. I think the style of the dress can either be dressed up or down and I'm not sure it is a fantasy life dress in the end - I could see you wearing this with your dirty white Marant boots for drinks after work.

love, if you moved to someplace with a real summer and didn't work a crazy unpredictable work schedule that allows you time to wear the clothes in your closet let alone new fun pieces like this.

it is such a great dress and i can see it on you with your softer direction. would you be able to winterize it?

I like it a lot for you (assuming the fit is good). And it doesn't seem entirely fantastic to me...it looks fairly practical, actually. I mean....I could see wearing it for dinner or drinks, or even out shopping. But only if you a). get enough time off to wear, and b). get some sunshine and reasonably warm temperatures.

I am on BJ's wavelength - how much wear time will you have for another summer dress? How many do you already have? I find I won't wear most of my summer dresses more than once probably this year due to weather and my work schedule :/

I think this is actually more wintery looking to me than summery, the background color being black and the skirt a tad on the shorter side. I think it would look great with black tights, booties/boots and a leather jacket or blazer. Just saying...

It is a gorgeous colour and I agree with others who have said that it feels more wintery than summery. At any rate, I avoid spandex when it is hot, and I too think it would look lovely with black tights and a black leather jacket in the winter.

Great dress - love the strong, dark, bright colors and exposed zip. It doesn't sound like you have too much free time this summer to play, but it has classic shape and lines that should continue to look good for when you DO have discretionary time.

I agree that it has enough color depth to add black tights, or black skinnies, for cooler weather. I just saw a Nordstrom mannequin wearing a similar shape and length dress over skinny capris (like Angie's dress over pants idea?) and it looked chic and current.

I think it's beautiful! You can dress it up, or dress it down, and there are some great idea here to winterize it. I vote try it on and see if you love it

I know this dress and tried it on at work! It is a thick material, and lined if I remember. I totally think you could wear it alone in summer and also with a jacket and tights and boots later. The heft of the fabric would not feel out of place with warmer items IMO.

I really like this for you! Edgy enough print to fit your style, especially with a moto jacket for the cooler months.

I am trying to remember your winter WiWs and if you wore tights. Are you okay with pairing it with tights and boots to make it a year round dress for you? If yes, I say go for it. If no, then I say pass and wait for fall. You really don't get much of a summer in Seattle to start with, and your crazy schedule makes it even harder.

I like it, except those two flowers are right over the ovaries. But it looks like I'm the only one who noticed this.

IK, I noticed the ovary flowers too.
I like the dress and think it would be a great FFBO for those days when you're going out on the spur of the moment and don't have time to think about an elaborate ensemble.
