Opinion on the swimsuit

Whenever I go somewhere tropical I swim wearing a rash guard. I had a skin cancer scare a few years ago, complete with big scar on my back. I wonder if this would solve that issue.

Love these! My favorite is #1, but I can see you looking terrific in #2. I had a basal cell carcinoma years ago --- and have been fashionably pale ever since!

Meh. I think you'd look cooler/better/more fashionable in a rash guard. These just look like gymnastics leotards to me... although I was a huge gymnastics fan when I was little.

I like 1 alot and the first one rae showed...never heard of a rash guard before....but thinking to my last snorkeling experience with what seemed to be tiny sting things in the water....it would have been useful

Those are cute, but strange to go to a tropical place where everyone wears bikinis...
Maybe a rash guard top with a nice bikini bottom?

I liked all three of your selection, and I liked rae's pair too, though I suspect you're better off with the longer sleeves? Personally, I prefer one-piece suits over bikini plus rashguard, but that's just a subjective preference. FWIW, theseea lot doesn't make me think of leotards... maybe the patterns are much too fashionable and interesting to me.

Rashies FTW! good to hear someone else covers up near the beach, AG.
I suspect the horizontal waistline on the onepiece may be unflattering. Also, critically, where is the built-in bra? too much risk of droop and sag, in my view, for anyone past their teen years, except for those with a triathlete's build.. I'm guessing a bikini top underneath would be a must.

I'm with Rae, very gymnast looking (and honestly not flattering on the models to my eye so not sure what a real person would look like in one) I love the silver rashguard top.

aesthetically speaking i like #1, but some things i think should also be practical. while these suits will cover you up, i think they would be a pain to get in and out of.

Rae - don't believe you have ever been huge but I agree with your description of the bathers. They are quite lovely in themselves but I agree with rute. I think you might look more relaxed (read fab @ the beach) in a vibrant, groovy patterned bikini or boy leg bottom togs, and a rash vest.

The first one you linked to was cute, but I would be wary of all the horizontal lines those suits create -- the effect could be really chopped up and unflattering on those of us with boobs and curves.

I love those rash guards Rae posted! In fact, I'm eyeing that silver one myself. I like the idea of being able to take it off and still have a cute bikini or one piece underneath. After all, beach vacations can get pretty hot.
