Ever had the experience of looking in the mirror and clearly seeing that what you are wearing is NOT your colour? I think I might have found my absolute worst colour. I popped into Aritzia the other day because I needed a couple of new breezy summer tee shirts, and they always have lots. I wanted a black one and a white one (of course) but they had run out of white, so instead I bought what I thought was light grey. (The shop has dim lighting). I got it home and realized it was a pale, icy lavender, which I thought was rather pretty, so I cut off the tags and wore it. But when I eventually got a good look at myself in the mirror, I wished I hadn't. Talk about NOT my colour! It makes my skin look both ruddy (in a bad way) and sickly. I'm not even sure how that's possible.

It wasn't an expensive tee shirt, and it's drapy and comfy so I can still use it for exercise, so it's not a total loss. And it was a good lesson in the power of colour. Whatever "season" can wear pale lavender, I'm not it!
