Oops I bought a bag

But it was for a good cause

Tonight we attended a gala for JDRF - the foundation for diabetes research. My husband is on the board and the company I work for is a major sponsor.
The owners (my boss and his wife) were honored and our company serves a lot of diabetic patients.

So this Kate Spade bag was an auction item. I couldn't let there be only one bid, right?!

We also bid on this arrangement of cala lilies. It's my favorite flower because I had calas for our wedding.

The last photo isn't a very good picture but it's me with some of my work group.

The color does work well for me and it's a nice size that works as a purse or a small tote. Or upscale lunch bag

It was a fun event and one we are always happy to support.

PS don't tell anyone but I wore little no show socks with my beaded pumps! My husband laughed at me but they were comfy!

Big fan of JDRF, thanks so much for all the work you do.
The bag is gorgeous, can't wait to see you put it in action. Flowers add so much pleasure to a home. I just threw my tulips out this morning and now need to go get some more, calla lilies sound perfect.
Beautiful group shot. You look lovely in the dress and I really like the shoulder detail. Those pumps are very glam too, gorgeous.

Freckles, thank you! Our involvement began due to our close friends' son having Type 1. We've since come to know so many people who have been touched by the disease.

The dress had the same bling around the cuffs so the only jewelry I wore was smallish earrings and a large ring.

I actually ordered the blue Furla satchel out of the ones I showed. But still debating on a smallish shoulder or cross body bag for hands free shopping/errands use.
