Online shopping for Canada

I am considering to shop online for shoes as it is very hard to find size 12 in the stores. However I am afraid that the cost will be too high when you count in shipping and return cost. I see that there is a lot of options in US when shipping and returns are free but I live in Canada...
So this is the question for Canadian ladies on this forum: how do you shop online for shoes? Are there any online stores with free shipping/returns for Canada? Any tips?

Hi and welcome, Sveta! Whereabouts in Canada are you, just out of curiosity? I'm a Toronto girl myself.

Sadly no, there are no sites that offer us free delivery in my experience. Lands End occasionally offers that as a promotion (right now, for instnace), but their shoes aren't what you call fashion forward. The canadian version of the Zappos site is the best bet in terms of selection. It's not up to parr with the U.S. version, but certainly better than anything else out there.

Nordstrom also has a good shoe selection, and they do deliver here.

Michelle, I am in London - 2 h west from Toronto. Thanks for the advice. Have you been using any US sites for shopping? I wonder how much you need to add to the price for customs and taxes on top of the shipping cost...

Sveta, a lot of the time it depends on the item. I know Nordstrom has a $35 shipping charge. With customs involved, delivery charges can certainly pile up. Now and then it's worth it, though, just to access the superior U.S. selection.
