Online inspiration needed - safari vest looks

Hi all

I have a new safari vest that is white, has those big pockets at the waist and is about hip length (too short to belt). I tried googling for inspiration but oh my, not a good result. CAn any of you help with inspiration photos for how to style it?

Hi Jayne,

How about pairing it with dressy skirts or dresses and a fab blouse for a fun juxtaposition. Or with a leather pencil skirt, leather pants, boyfriend jeans, patterned slouchy trousers, long shorts...
Wearing it on its own, buttoned-up all the way, as a top in warmer weather.

Most of these are not white, and some of these are not "safari" vests, but perhaps you can get some outfit ideas from them anyway?

Here are some pictures using white vests, I think you could translate all of these looks and make them work with your white safari vest.

These looks use both low and high contrast approaches. White vest with more white, white vest with grey, white vest with charcoal, white vest with blush or cream, and white vest with black.

Here are mostly skinny jeans but as you can see the look works with shorts or a skirt, depending on the length of the vest.

Great examples Inge - thank you so much for asking this question Jayne - I have an olive green "safari" style vest as well - also too short to belt - and now I have some inspiration to try it again. I noticed that often the safari style (more rugged) vests are paired with very lady like clothing with lace or jewelry -- in most of these examples -- maybe to create a more feminine look overall?
