I love spending gift cards, it's like shopping without the guilt. Feedback appreciated.
1- boat neck tunic from Gap. I need to replace my b/w striped top which is too short. Wish the stripes were narrower.
2- too big? I tried the XL on in store and it wasn't too flattering; this is the 1x. (yes, it's totally weird that I'm buying local SF color from a chain)
3- gray stretch "jeans", I feel like these fit better than they look like they do.

Love the boat neck from Gap! perfect and so versatile! The 2nd top does look too big under the armpit. And the jeans, perhaps run around in those with the tags on for awhile, they will likely stretch out.

I am such a fan of the classic Breton top (striped tee). I agree with you that a smaller stripe is more flattering----I would hang onto it and keep looking. They are everywhere as it is one of the most classic looks for spring! You can also try the Petite Bateau website but I've seen them in the discount stores as well. Not a fan of hte second top----you have a great figure and I think the size is off here---it makes you look heavy and you are a gorgeous hourglass! Hard to see the jeans in the light but I agree that with most jeans, it's smart nowadays to wear them a bit and see if they relax so that the look and the feel match up for you.

Laura, a word of caution about these jeans - I had them and they fit perfectly but after a few weeks they started sliding down and sagging in the back! I don't know if it was just me and my weird body that stretched them out, but they're in my donation pile now and I'm regretting getting them :/

I really like 1 and don't find the stripes too wide. As is, 3 seems off a bit. But I agree that you should wear them around at home to see if they stretch a tad.

#2 doesn't say much to me but the other two are keepers for sure. I love how with these pictures in front of the mirror we can see your hairstyle better.

#2 I agree, it is big.
#3 look a little too short,even for flats, but it could be the picture.

I really like 1 but I am concerned that you are just trading one 'not quite' for another. You say the striped top you have is too short but you're not entirely happy with the stripes on this one
If this one is enough of an upgrade to keep you happy until you find 'the striped shirt' then keep. But if you are holding out for the the one you really want then I say return.

I like the striped shirt as is. Honestly, the green top, hicle a great color, seems a bit young and ill-fitting. Pants.... maybe wear them around the house a bit before taking off that tags and see how you like them. How's the length?

I am with others, I like 1 and 3, and the color on #2 is flattering but the fit is only ok to me.

Thanks, everyone, for your detailed and helpful feedback. I am leaning toward keeping all 3, especially since they were all on sale. 1 is not my platonic ideal of a b/w stripe shirt, but it's closer to a Breton top, actually, and I can imagine a lot of ways to wear it, especially since none of you said I looked like a hippo in it. I irrationally love the print in 2 and think I'll wash it and then take in the seam if necessary (it'll be a casual weekend top w jeans anyway). Maybe 3 will go back - they fit and I've been looking for gray jeans for a long time, but something about the very stretchy lightweight fabric makes it look too tight even though they're not (actually I suspect that they would end up too big at the end of the day).

I like #1. I think it fits you nicely. #2 seems short and boxy to me. Pants are cute!
