I’ve written here before about how we’re undertaking a huge home renovation project. Basically our first floor will be transformed in the coming months.
In the meantime though, our den is 98% finished!
We decluttered all the old stuff we were storing down there, got new flooring, new furniture, new paint, new sliding glass door to the back yard. Had two old unneeded windows and an old door removed to make room for cabinets and art. I designed all the built-ins you see here, and a local woodworker built them from black walnut from the ranch in Texas we sold last year. He also built us a record cabinet, which is amazing! The lit Diana Ross painting above it changes colors if you power it up. That was our crazy anniversary gift to ourselves from NYC this summer.
It’s now a cozy TV viewing/music listening room and we love it!
