One pair of booties: Leopard or Black?

Hi all,
I've been looking at my WIWs this week (not yet posted), and I've decided that I need some booties. I immediately thought of black, but I'm wondering if Leopard/animal print works well enough as a neutral to be versatile as my only bootie? Any suggestions as to your favorites for either color? I'd love to find some with around a 2" heel.

ETA: I wear a lot of solids. This is the type I'm thinking of:

If you wear solids..animal print should work great!

I vote for leopart print! I have a black pair and often wish I had something else since my black ones some times feel witch-y to me. Just a (very) random observation. Probably says more about my particular booties than black booties in general.

Leopard would be really fun but I've got to tell you--I have two pair of black booties that I have worn for 2-3 years. I can wear them with anything--dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, denim. It's really useful to have a basic in your wardrobe.

Gosh, that sounded a little preach-y, didn't it? LOL!

Thanks ladies! Sarah - nah, not preachy :). It seems like black is the way I'll be going - I can't find any leopard ones that have less than a 2 3/4 inch heel (I'm 5' 10" - and so is Hubalicious. We're about even if I wear a couple inch heel and he has his Frye boots on, but I don't want to tower over him with anything higher).

Leopard print would be cool, but I can't imagine having them as my only pair of booties. I hope you find something that works!

I saw a pair of Sofft black leather booties at DSW the other day that look a lot like the ones you have pictured. Might try there. Also you might try aerosoles. I've always found their shoes to be very comfortable and pretty long lasting.

Shu, I have those and wore them today! Very comfortable on me, and sleek looking. I wore with a skirt, black patterned hose, and sweaters. Here is the outfit I wore, when I first got it and tried on at home. Today I left my camera at work accidentally or I would take an updated photo.

But I also plan to wear them with jeans, other skirts, dress pants and dresses.

I guess I would go for black, and then if you still have money left, find some leopard print pumps or flats. But Just My Thoughts.

ETA HOWEVER I just looked at the links posted by Grewitch above and those are fab choices! OOOHHH, now I have to decide whether to get more...???

Black booties will work great, but if you wear mostly neutrals and want to really ramp up your style (and have a couple hundred $ to spend) the Matisse leopard booties would meet your heel height requirements.

Before last weekend I would have told you to buy the black ones, but as the ladies at my YLF meetup told me, "leopard is a neutral!" Aida and Vicki both wore them multiple times with different outfits and they looked fantastic. Aida let me try on hers (I bat for team flats) and I have to say they were very comfortable.

I have no idea if they are in your budget or even still available, but they would definitely take everything in your wardrobe and ratchet it up several notches! Did you see Angie's Outfit when she debuted them?

That second pair posted by Grewitch could be the answer. Black with animal print trim. I have found aerosoles to be quite comfortable too.
