One more VC tube skirt

I bought the VC tube skirt when it went on sale here in Canada about 4 weeks ago (waving at Shannon). I am finally trying it on because of am within one day of the return window. They did not offer petites which is likely what I need. I haven't trimmed this one - it is rolled at the waist otherwise it is just above the ankle.

I love the feeling of the skirt but not sure if I should keep it simply because I don't know how often I would wear it. I do have it on today - and am sitting at my home workstation. LOL. I do have an errand later and could leave it on.

Can I justify keeping for only a few wears before fall/winter and with limited places for it to go?

Is there a reason you may not wear it often (such as formality of the workplace etc.)? It looks really good on you. I have two of these skirts and wear each at least once per week now and will probably be wearing them until the end of September (I am close to the Canadian border so I am assuming the climate is somewhat similar).

Hi Makrame - thanks for the positive words. I work from home full time so I wondering how often I would wear it. Most time I am in jeans. I guess I feel a bit awkward dressing up at home - a bit out of the comfort zone. Maybe I will just cut the tags and force myself to wear it.

Glory I feel a bit like you sometimes as I work from home. Your photos tell me that you look great in the skirt and I would guess that it feels comfy. Perhaps you should go for it. Lets hold virtual hands and force each other to wear some nicer things when at home

This looks great on you Glory and isn't it sooooo comfy? I think you can casualize (is that a word?) this enough with just a tee and flip flops to justify wearing it at home if that is your concern. And as far as I'm concerned, there is nothing wrong with dressing up a wee bit at home anyway. PLEASE keep!!!

I wear my VC skirts to work at home. They are like sweatpants, seriously! I would not have bought another if I hadn't been so surprised at how easy they are to wear. Normally I just wear shorts in summer to work at home. Well, now I wear shorts OR the VC skirt.

In winter I almost never wear skirts "at work" because it involves hose and shoes that might be difficult to get on or off and all that. But these VC things just go on over the undies and that's the end of it. Sandals, a top, and I am done.

At the same time, if I want to go downtown (even out for lunch!) I need only ensure my sandals are nicer ones, I put on a bangle, make sure my top is presentable, and out I go!

Keep it. It's cheaper than a new pair of shorts at the price you got it.

I think it looks great on you...very flattering. I vote keep, and you will find places to wear it. It doesn't look formal the way you have it so I bet you can wear it anyplace.

Keep, and wear it! I think Suz has great advice. It would be a great jean alternative for you when working. My jersey dress basically feels like jammies but looks smart.

I say keep it and just wear it at home. This summer I picked up 2 tube skirts at Kohls for $15 each (black, and black/ecru stripe). I work at home and have been wearing them so much (non-gardening days, lol) that I re-fashioned a stretch knit dress (with an awkward fit) into a tube skirt. They're so comfy

Ladies thank you so much for the love and support. I have removed the tags (gasp), and wore it out of the house for appointments and errands late this afternoon.
I am relieved to have finally made a decision - if that makes sense. Also happy that I do not have to try and get to the mall tomorrow to make a return.
I have promised myself to wear it once per week in August and September, while I can still wear sandals. Like Suz, once I have to think about hose etc I switch to pants.
Today I wore it with wedge sandals and a jean jacket.

I loved it so much I may need a darker one for winter...lol. Am now going to make a concerted effort to get on team wear. I will need to write up some mottos and rules for myself. I tend to buy things and then wait and wait...not sure what the waiting is for. I think my rule should be it must be worn within 2 days.

These tube skirts really are the next thing since sliced bread. Super comfy, super easy, casual or dressier. I think you'll be happy, very happy!
