The other day I pulled my hair back in stubby pigtails (something I only do at home lest I be mistaken for a 13 year old) and I realized I kind of missed having long hair. I miss being able to pull it back and feel it on my shoulders. Not SUPER long, but shoulder length. But it occurred to me that I have never quite figured out how to get long hair to look "me"--funky and cute and not too serious.

Anyway, it so happened that I just stumbled upon this picture:

And realized it is what I had been looking for. So I am strongly considering canceling my appointment this Saturday and growing it. It is almost at that length in the front anyway and my hair grows fast so it won't be long before the back catches up. I won't lie: this is also more cost effective for me, and I'm all about saving money right now. And of course, without my trusted stylist by my side, I feel uneasy having anyone cut my hair right now. This will give me time to find someone new (currently looking into Arrojo studio, though I don't have $500 to see Nick!).

I know the general feeling here is that short hair is favorable, and everyone seemed to like my hair when I cut it...but the way I figure it, long hair is one of those things that I won't be able to enjoy forever. Much like mini skirts, I've got to take advantage of it while I still have youth on my side (and while my hair is in reasonably good shape).

Yay/nay?
