One King's Lane v. Haute Look?

Hi!

I'm looking to buy a gift card for my very fashionable sister-in-law to be, either from One King's Lane or Haute Look. Do folks have experience with one or the other? And a preference? Do tell - vote Yay for Haute Look and Nay for One King's Lane.

I've shopped Haute Look before (and liked it) but my husband is proposing One King's Lane. Anyway, it was his suggestion that we ask the Forum to weigh in and help us settle this difference of opinion, so here we are! We leave for the birthday brunch in an hour, so your help is much much appreciated!

One King Lane is mostly household furniture and accessories. HauteLook has a little of everything. I find OKL over priced but they do have very unusual stuff and one of a kinds.

I have only used Haute Look and find it irritating that they charge for shipping. Their deals are good, but not amazing -- I have bought some items elsewhere for less than what Haute Look was charging. That said, their customer service is great.

I have used Hautelook in the past, used to shop there quite a bit. I have no complaints about them. They are now owned by Nordstrom. All of these flash sales site charge for shipping, except for MyHabit. My first vote would be MyHabit (if that's an option) as they don't charge for shipping. And I've been able to use MyHabit credits on Amazon and Endless so you have many, many options. (MyHabit is owned by Amazon.)

As I mentioned in another post, I recently discovered a tool (www.sortedby.com) that lets you sort all current myhabit sales by discount, which helps you find really good deals there (sometimes up to 90% off, even though myhabit markets itself as "brands for up to 60% off).
