Last night Vicki and I, along with 2 other girlfriends made the drive to L.A. to go to the screeening of a documentary. We went up early so that we would have time to eat prior to going to the screening of the film and ended up in a wonderful restuarant called Lemonade. Absolutely delicious and exotic salads that we shared between the 4 of us, plus the best mac 'n cheese - EVer! So . . . while the 4 of us were sitting there gabbing our heads off, sharing our salads - not paying the least attention to what was going on around us - a younger woman came up to our table and said "I just have to tell you women, that all 4 of you are so stylish and look so great!" (Or something like that - Vicki, do you remember the exact words????) I guess we should have recorded her - but we were in too much shock to think of that!

So, do you know how good that felt to us? To me? Who has been SYCing for over a year and beginning to feel like her clothes are boring, worn out, tired and lifeless? Well, it made me feel like a million bucks. I felt myself sit up a little straighter, smile and wrap my scarf around my neck with flair as we walked out of the place! I still feel the postivie vibes from it tonight - 24 hours later!

I wish that you could have all seen Vicki. She had the coolest yellowish gold skinnies with her animal print boots, a Ralph Lauren jacket with a black leather jacket over it - just stunning! And, I must say that she is just as fabulous of a person on the inside as she is on the outside - beautiful, gracious and intelligent.

So - anyway . . . Again - the power of a simple compliment. I have vowed that I am going to give a minimum of one a day to a stranger - and I know that it won't be forced - because if you look for it, there is always something positive that you can find or see about someone else. I'm still floating a little bit above the ground from yesterday's compliment - just think how we could change the world, one kind word at a time, if we all made a point to go just a little bit out of our way to share (what we are thinking on the inside) when we see someone looking great, or doing something great? Wouldn't that be cool????
