Ondo no-show socks - YouLookFab Forum

I’ve posted before about my failed attempts to keep certain shoes on my heels, and prevent socks from slipping down and bunching inside my shoes.

After a recent thread on the topic, I ordered a pair of Ondo socks, and I think they may have saved me from getting rid of a couple of pairs of shoes I was ready to write off! I’m wearing these Linea Paolo sneakers around the house today, and my heels slip a little bit, but so far the socks stay put and I’m not experiencing any unpleasant rubbing on my heels. Same goes for the Vince slip-on sneakers that were also problematic for me.

The Ondo socks seem to breathe fairly well (but it’s not very warm today) and they are thin enough to not make my shoes too tight. I’m pretty excited that I don’t have to sell those shoes after all!

I wanted to share this in case anyone else is looking for a solution to this issue.

I’m feeling a little less than perky today after my second jab yesterday, so after finishing a half day of work at my computer, I’m chilling in the back yard before the rain comes later this afternoon.

Take it easy, Janet! I had a terrible time with shot 2. I hope you really do rest today so you feel better for the weekend.

Did you size down on the Ondos? I've worn my one pair 4x already but did not size down ... wondering if I should, when I order another pair.

Re : the vax .... everybody is so different. I had a relatively easy 2nd dose. My 1st dose resulted in a migraine so bad that I wanted to amputate my head. ( i didnt in casw you’re wondering. Lol )

I didn’t size down on the first pair but I’m thinking of ordering another. I’m not sure I need to size down — since these seem to be doing the trick as they are. I wonder how they’ll do with repeated laundering. I’ve only washed them once so far.

Have you tried Back of Heel Cushions for your shoes? Mine are from Fancy Feet, but I think Dr. Scholl’s has them as well. They stick onto your shoes behind your heels to help fill the gap. I used them to keep some Frye flats in rotation.

I’m going to check it out - thank you for review. I’ve tried Smartwool and some other brand ( Felina I think - from Rack ). It’s all good but not quite great for my 7-8 hours work days ..

I have some Smartwool that are pretty good but don’t work with these two most problematic pairs of shoes. They stay in place pretty well with other shoes though. Stance too.

I have been taking it easy today. I got some good work done this morning but lost steam after lunch. Achy and tired with slight chills from time to time — basically feels like when I’m coming down with a flu. So I napped and have been reading and catching up on Handmaid’s Tale and Trapped. Hoping to be back to normal tomorrow!

Cat2, I have tried those cushions but they don’t seem to work for me. I’ve actually had those bunch up and come unstuck or rub on my heels.

I have been so disappointed and frustrated by no show socks that I threw out every pair I had in my collection. I think I will give Ondo a try.

Janet, I have a question ( or a few ) about that silicon lining around the inner edge.
Does it bothers you after a few hours of wearing? Is it tight on your feet? The ones I've got from Rack leave a mark on my skin after a long day ( like it's really digging into my skin ).
I need a bit looser feel for comfort ( my shoes size 8,5 or 39 - almost average ). Thank you.

Slim cat, I didn’t have any issues with pinching or leaving marks on my feet. I got the M and my shoe size is an 8 — I could probably use the smaller size as I had a little extra room in them, so I would guess you’d be comfortable in a M.

Thanks, Rachy! I feel totally normal today. Even yesterday was fine. So I’d say I felt minor effects for maybe 24 hours. Well worth it!
