Today I am a sexagenarian. What a funny word for this age. Doesn't it sound like it should be a name for someone in their 20's or 30's? First off, I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. I truly appreciate each and every one. I stayed home today resting because I still have the bug. It gave me time to ponder what this number really means to me, if anything. I came to the conclusion that it is just too soon to say. My 50's were the best decade of my life and by best, I mean happiest. I learned to be happy with me no matter what others said to me. I am a slow learner sometimes. Long ago (in therapy) I decided health is not all it is cracked up to be. I have never had good health since the day I was born. But happiness is something I am in total control of, no matter what, I can only depend on me for my happiness. I choose to be happy and it feels good! So I will wait a few years to decide what descriptor will I will have for this decade. I do not want to rush into anything.
