Fun, versatile pieces. Love the navy, and suits for you. I am longing for opportunities to feel my version of dressed up. As fall rolls in, it is great to dine outside. Have observed that outside dining is extremely casual locally, no matter how folks dressed when the same restaurant was indoor only. I am not anticipating a lot of outside the house dress-up occasions as the chill arrives. You inspire me to create my own.

The skirt is on sale so I'm ordering it! The striped jumper is available to ship in 10 weeks. (Supply chain issues, I bet. What a shame). I can't wait that long. Onto something else.....

I was in a dressy mood two years ago and updated my dressy capsule including adding a tule skirt. This was in the fall right before Covid hit us. I'm still looking forward to wearing these fun outfits again and do have a few concerts planned this fall/winter. I am so ready to get out and about. Your wished for tule skirt is lovely and you should just get it. I can see you wearing it often.

The skirt outfit reminds me of a recent favourite of mine. Here worn to work with loafers. I've also worn it to church with heels or white sneakers, so it could skew more dressy if I ever have such an occasion.

Top is JGHook men's, thrifted; skirt is Uniqlo from two seasons ago. (Fabbers consulted while I was shopping suggested it was too long, but I like the length as is.)

I’m feeling a bit dressier but the urge is tempered with reality. Even spending these days in NY, I chose to mostly bring items/outfits that are in the casual side and will be comfortable for hours of walking and varying temps (it’s going to be in the upper 80s today after some cooler and very pleasant weather). The great thing about NY is that really anything goes!

I’m looking forward to seeing your renditions of those looks.

Like Janet, my urges for "dressy" are tempered by reality. I wont buy anything new that is dressy, but I hope to wear some of my dressier items. I've been enjoying skirts and dresses generally so I think I'll be inspired to keep going until the cold really hits.

But I have collected that gorgeous striped cashmere sweater from Boden! If I don't find another special item, that might be my birthday gift this year.

So pleased that you are getting the skirt and suit to try. Unfortunately Boden restricts the merchandise it offers to Australian shoppers, neither the skirt or beautiful striped sweater are available. I will have to enjoy these pieces on you and other forum members.

I too ordered the floofy Rachel skirt from Boden. I am 4'11", so this will be interesting. A colleague and I thought about how I might wear it to work. We joked that throwing on a blazer makes just about anything work appropriate, especially for days when you have little expectation of running into any high muckety mucks. It's all about the Zoom: business on top, party on the bottom.

UPDATE: The BEAUTIFUL Boden skirt came and went. It was too big, and I cannot alter it. What a pity
