Yesterday I attended a birding event that put me in the vicinity of Macy's so I stopped by to try on the On 34th Women's Plaid Car Coat that grabbed my attention from Angie's Monday blog post.

I tried it in size Small and Medium and think I prefer the smaller size on me. I didn't buy it-- I like it, but I don't think I love it. I think it's that this is the sort of plaid that almost makes me dizzy when I look at it.

I do love the mix of the brown and bright pops of colors-- it's got the perfect amount of playfulness to appeal to me. I'm hoping I can find other items to check this playfulness box.

Also, as a bonus. Lisa asked if I would share a photo of the orange outfit I wore earlier in the week, so that's photo 4. I've been tracking most of my outfits with photos but I wasn't planning to share this one here-- which explains why I'm wearing slippers rather than shoes (our policy is to not wear shoes inside).
