A few suggestions:
1. Eat SLOWLY. Put down your fork after every bite.
2. Eat to 80% full. Small portions.
3. Eat lean protein at every meal.
4. Eat tons of veggies.
5. Reduce starchy carbs and cut way back (or eliminate) processed carbs.
6. MOVE. As much as you can.
7. Drink lots of water.
8. SLEEP. You need a lot of it or losing will be tougher.
9. If all else fails, adjust expectations, as Manidipa suggests. And go from where you are.
