How did I end up with so many socks?! It's crazy! I counted and have approximately 85 pairs (at least - there's probably a few pairs in the laundry hamper to be washed), plus 6 pairs of new ones that I haven't taken the tags off. I organized them by type below.
My sock drawer was getting full so I took out all the socks to try to trim them. All of the socks below are in good shape (no holes or thin spots). I could pull out the Xmas socks and put them somewhere else since they only get worn in December. I could trim the trouser socks to just a couple in each color since I rarely wear them. I guess I could trim the number of white/grey socks. I must be a sock hoarder because that's about all I can see myself getting rid of.
I asked DH if he could build me some drawer organizers and he started laughing. Then I said "well maybe I could move out the exercise bottoms that share the drawer" (see pic #10) and he said "yeah, that's your problem - the 6 pairs of exercise bottoms". Which just made me start laughing as I realized how ridiculous it is that I have 85 pairs of socks.
